Kudus are such elegant antelopes with thier beautiful markings and extaordinary horns, which in adult males can have three full twists!
The painting was created with oil, applied in thin layers to build up the detailed surface. The canvas is stretched on a deep exhibition style stretcher with the edges painted so it can hang unframed.
This Ancient Tableau series of paintings spanned almost 40 canvases, completed over a ten year period. This painting and a handful of others are all that are left available in this unique series.
