My inspiration for this delightful cast bronze bunny sculpture of a baby Nuttall's Cottontail was life itself. This adorable little fellow was living under our wood pile and during the chilly spring mornings we could look out of the kitchen window to see him sunning himself to warm up. He is life-sized but still small enough to hold in the palm of your hand.
Each of my sculptures are hand cast into bronze using the time-honored lost wax method. I worked with the foundry to create this unique patina colour that references the bunny's natural fur tones. It is a beautiful finish that has several subtle variations.
The edition size for Wee One Tawny Edition is 20. He is 4.5 inches high by 5 inches long.
Each of my cast bronze sculptures comes with a certificate of authenticity in a beautiful custom folio. If this sculpture is meant for a gift and the casting cannot be completed in time, I will send the folio and certificate in advance so it can be gifted on the special day.
