Ruby-crowned Kinglets are tiny warblers, songbirds that appear to be a simple olive-dun colour, unless you are luck enough to see the male reveal his bright crimson crown!
I recently re-painted the background for this piece to introduce the Renaissance gold designs. I just adore the warm gold against the pale blue tones.
He is framed with a lovely classic black wood featuring gold edging.
